The PPEdu participates in CAPES's National Post Doctoral Program (PNPD). The PNPD is an institutional grant program that finances post-doctoral internships in academic stricto sensu post-graduate programs (PPG) recommended by CAPES. The Program aims at:

1. promoting the accomplishment of high level studies;
2. reinforcing the national research groups;
3. renewing the staff of Post-Graduation Programs (PPG) in higher education and research institutions;
4. promoting the insertion of Brazilian and foreign researchers in post-doctoral internships, stimulating their integration with research projects developed by Post-Graduation Programs in the country.
